The Protocol is designed to address all eight factors mentioned in the "What is Long Covid" section under 'Long Covid Info'.
Long Covid is a complex disease that affects multiple areas of the body and in very different ways. To address all these complexities thoroughly and to speed up the healing and recovery process, the protocol requires a broad spectrum of synergistic therapies or regimens that address each of these factors collectively and effectively.
While I created a specific regimen to heal each of the eight key factors of Long Covid, the big surprise after my research on the biological functions of the supplements, was how broad-spectrum and multi-purpose each of these supplements truly are.
For example, several of the supplements used to lower inflammation and help eliminate autoimmune-like symptoms, are also powerful antivirals, and vice versa. Additionally, several ingredients from each of the separate regimens have been shown to help rebuild the gut microbiome, strengthen the immune system, and reduce organ damage, especially when taken together.
While I designed these regimens to address each of the eight different Long Covid factors directly, confining them only to their original specific purpose does a big disservice to how these supplements work together synergistically and beneficially as a whole protocol.
Based on research found on NIH's PubMed library, which I then broke down by biological function for some of these, we can see how each ingredient in the protocol maps to the key objectives of the protocol.

Note 1: To fully recover from Long Covid, these 5 conditions must probably be addressed.
I have learned through personal experience and by working with many others using this protocol that there are five conditions that if not addressed, can prevent a full recovery from Long Covid.
1. Covid virus protein remnants (typically the S1 Spike and Nucleocapsid) that remain in the body post infection causing hyper-inflammation, and autoantibodies & fibrin amyloid microclots that can do serious organ damage.
These virus traces must be fully eradicated to fully recover from Long Covid.
2. A damaged immune system which both overreacts and underreacts, and is no longer capable of eliminating the remaining Covid virus protein remnants in the body. This compromised immune system also makes the body more susceptible to secondary infections such as mold, bacteria, and reactivated Epstein-Barr, etc.
The immune system must be strong and functional in order to fully recover from Long Covid.
3. Chronic stress, which can put the brain and body into a low-level 'fight-or-flight response' that has been shown to compromise the immune system.
Chronic stress must be significantly reduced or eliminated in order to successfully recover from Long Covid.
4. Damaged gut microbiome, which can put the brain and body into a low-level 'fight-or-flight response' that has been shown to compromise the immune system.
An unhealthy gut microbiome can also harbor undesirable bacteria such as Klebsiella, which can be responsible for creating biofilms in the digestive tract which are used to protect the Covid virus protein remnants.
The gut microbiome must be healthy and functional in order to significantly increase chances of a full recovery from Long Covid.
5. Depleted levels of critical nutrients and compounds:
I was not able to fully recover from Long Covid until I thoroughly and systematically addressed each of these five conditions.
Note 2: Eliminating Long Covid can be very difficult, and requires attacking it hard and fast with every targeted medicinal tool possible, in addition to the behavioral therapies for reducing chronic stress.
So, even though this protocol is broken down into seven separate medicinal and behavioral regimens, it is truly the synergistic combination of everything taken and done together as a single protocol, that I believe causes it to work.
Based on my trial and error, and my experience using this protocol, consuming or doing only portions of this protocol and not the whole protocol at once will likely not be successful in a speedy recovery from Long Covid. My experience indicates that there's a synergistic effect of the combination in the protocol, that will not be found in taking only a subset of the protocol. So, you cannot pick and choose to do just a few of these seven regimens and expect to heal completely or rapidly.
Doing all seven regimens together as a single protocol was the only way I was able to completely heal from Long Covid.
Note 3: While I've reported all the known researched biological science I could find that support the protocol ingredients, it's important to remember that due to western medicine’s focus on only pharmaceutical drugs and not plant-based medicines or supplements, many of these broad-spectrum medicines and their benefits are still unfamiliar or misunderstood by most doctors, researchers, hospitals and Long Covid clinics due to lack of deeper scientific research and clinical trials on these ingredients.
Also, plant-based medicines work differently in the body than pharmaceutical drugs. Plant-based medicines are both typically much gentler on the body but also take a bit longer to build-up and work correctly.
I learned from personal experience that eliminating the Covid virus S1 (spike) and N (nucleocapsid) protein remnants is the most important goal of this protocol.
I also discovered that eliminating the virus remnants is very difficult to do. Because if they are not completely eliminated quickly enough, they seem to slowly replicate and come back again.
Also, if the immune system is still compromised and the body is deficient of some key nutrients, it can be difficult if not impossible for your body to fully eradicate the virus protein traces.
So, it is critical to hit them hard with a three-stage approach using the collective and synergistic power of these regimens and behavioral therapies together:
Stage 1 – Replenish, reduce symptoms, and repair immune system:
Stage 2 – Virus protein remnant eradication:
Stage 3 – Rebuild stamina, restore core energy and perform final deep detox:
Purpose: To significantly reduce the over-reactive immune response (Long Covid symptoms and inflammation) to help you start functioning again, and stop further damage to the body and brain. This regimen also appears to significantly lower viral activity and the quantity of virus protein remnants in the body and is part of Stage 1 of the virus protein remnant eradication.
You can become more functional again by dampening down the over-reactive immune response to the remaining virus proteins. This appears to significantly reduce inflammation, and virtually eliminates the symptoms of MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and many other Long Covid afflictions such as those caused by fibrin amyloid microclots.
This part of the protocol is called “Deactivate Hyper-Immune Response” and is done using Cistus Incanus tea, Stevia, Andrographis, Licorice Root, Black Cumin Seed Oil, Quercetin, NAC, Curcumin, Stevia, Zinc, Serrapeptase and Nattokinase.
The Turkey Tail and Chaga mushrooms that are part of the "5 Defenders Mushrooms" complex help to start the process of healing the gut microbiome and aiding in the clearing out of any virus protein remnants potentially hidden in the gut microbiome in addition to repairing the immune system.
Reducing the Long Covid symptoms and body inflammation can help you to start feeling better and living life again, usually after about four or five weeks on the protocol. It is at this point in the Long Covid recovery journey that you want to start doing very light exercise to slowly rebuild your body’s core strength, little by little. But absolutely don't push it too hard.
Another major reason to lower the symptoms and inflammation as quickly as possible is because long term inflammation is suspected of causing damage to your vital organs--and your brain.
Through experience, I learned that these ten supplements - Cistus Incanus tea, Andrographis, Nettle Leaf, Licorice Root, Black Cumin Seed Oil, Quercetin, Serrapeptase, Nattokinase, Tryptophan and NAC - were extremely critical. As long as I kept taking them, I felt better. And when I would stop any one of them for a few days or a week, I would feel the Long Covid symptoms insidiously creep back in.
I also strongly believe, based on my personal experience, that this “Deactivate Hyper-Immune Response” regimen contributed strongly to helping eradicate the Covid S1 and N proteins and rebuilding my damaged gut microbiome. Several of these ingredients are broad spectrum and multitherapeutic as well as strong antivirals that likely reduced the spike and nucleocapsid protein viral load and activity in my body.
Purpose: To replenish the NAD+ system and key nutrients to help heal and rebuild the Covid-damaged areas of the body. It also helps rebuild the gut microbiome.
Note: This regimen addresses Long Covid factors number 4 and 5 (Depletion of Key Nutrients, Bodily Injuries & Damage).
This regimen is also part of Stage 1 of the virus protein remnant eradication, in that it accelerates the body healing in preparation for Stage 2.

While in the process of reducing the inflammation and symptoms, you can start to rebuild and heal the injured areas and restore depleted vitamins, minerals, and other vital nutrients that Covid leaches from the body during the original infection. I recommend adding Collagen Peptides, Fish Oil, and Creatine along with the daily vitamins to help speed up healing. If you’re over the age of 50, you probably want to add 50 mg DHEA per day, to boost your hormone levels, which can potentially help your body heal faster. Continue this part of the protocol for at least a full twelve weeks to help the body heal completely.
I like the way I feel so much with these “Replenish & Heal Your Body” supplements, that I’ve kept taking them all even after I finished the protocol.
I found this regimen to be an important preparation before starting Stage 2 of eradicating the remaining virus protein traces.
Purpose: To repair and rebuild the immune system so that you can fully recover from Long Covid. And to eliminate or at least reduce everything causing the immune system to be compromised. This regimen is also part of Stage 1 of the virus protein eradication, in that it strengthens the immune system in preparation for Stage 2.
The immune system plays a huge role in eliminating threats so that your body can fully heal. It took me doing some major behavioral changes along with immune-rebuilding supplements to restore my immune system to be strong enough to overcome Long Covid.
My strategy for healing the immune system was twofold:

B. Eliminate the ongoing threats to the immune system:
Repairing my immune system was critical to my complete recovery, and repairing the gut microbiome and eliminating my chronic stress was a very important part of that.
Purpose: To recover neurological and brain function through neurogenesis and neuroplasticity therapies. This regimen is also part of Stage 1 of the virus protein eradication, in that it accelerates the brain and neurological healing in preparation for Stage 2.
I eliminated my brain fog and felt the healing of my injured brain and neurological system using Psilocybin microdoses with Lion’s Mane and Ashwagandha. Part of the healing process is giving your brain and central nervous system the neurogenesis and neuroplasticity tools it needs to repair the neurological damage caused by Covid.
Start microdosing Psilocybin by taking it three days in a row, then taking four days off. Repeat this rhythm of three days on, four days off for the second week. You should notice a significant improvement in your brain function. Then reduce it to once or twice a week starting on week three, which I’ve kept doing ever since.
If you sense that your brain needs significantly more healing, you can repeat the three-day microdosing. Take four days off from micro-dosing between the three-day sessions. I also found that meditating each morning for ten to twenty minutes and journaling seemed to make the microdosing even more useful.
I also took 5 – 6 mg Melatonin and 500 mg Tryptophan each night just before going to bed, which had a calming effect and helped me sleep a bit better.
I found that this regimen also contributed to reducing my chronic stress, which is also critical to do in fully healing from Long Covid.
I also used a combination of daily guided meditation and journaling, along with weekly sessions of talking therapy with a therapist to work through the root causes of my chronic stress, which I discovered were based on unresolved childhood trauma dealing with my father.
I also found the talking therapy to be much more effective when I did it while microdosing psilocybin.
The psilocybin enabled me to be more open and talk about things that I normally find uncomfortable to do. Using psilocybin significantly sped up the progress made during the therapy sessions.
I cannot overemphasize how important it was to eliminate chronic stress for a full recovery.
Purpose: To fully detox the whole body and eliminate the Covid-related debris in addition to the toxins being released through the process of viral cleanup.
This regimen is also part of Stage 1 of the virus protein eradication, in that it uses Zeolite which works both to prep the body for Stage 2, as well as working synergistically with Stage 2.
Clean your body and brain of both the possible leftover damage debris from your initial Covid infection, as well as all the toxins being released due to the viral cleanup, using Burbur, Pinella, Zeolite, Liver Cleanse Complex and EDTA. I can't overemphasize how critical it is to use the detox part of the protocol.
Start the detox process from day one using just the Burbur and Pinella drops and the Liver Cleanse Complex for the first three weeks, along with the sinus rinses and Epsom salt baths.
By week five, introduce the Zeolite and start on a strong triple dose of two teaspoons, three times a day. Take this large amount of Zeolite for just one week so it can do a major body cleanup in the beginning and help mop up whatever heavy metals, loose virus remnants and any other debris remain from the original Covid damage.
This larger amount of Zeolite will also work in partnership with the Chaga and Turkey Tail mushrooms to likely help clean-out the virus protein traces in the gut, in addition to rebuilding the gut microbiome.
By week six, reduce the Zeolite to just two teaspoons/day for the next four weeks.
On week ten, increase the Zeolite to six teaspoons per day to help mop up any remaining residue from the virus cleanup.
I still take Zeolite about once a month to make sure it is taking care of any additional toxins, but I don’t believe it is critical to do so.
I posit that Zeolite plays a key role in eradicating the virus protein remnants, working synergistically with the other regimens.
On week eleven, start taking EDTA for the final two weeks to help chelate any heavy metals or plaque still in your system as part of the final cleanup.
Another part of detoxing is rinsing out your sinuses twice a day with a saline solution designed for this. I believe that this provides two benefits. One, it helps flush out virus traces that may be hiding in the sinuses. And two, it helps the medicines reach the sinuses faster via the moisture it provides.
I also discovered that Epsom salt baths made me feel better. Epsom salt baths can draw out toxins through the skin, which might accelerate the healing process. I used 2 cups of Epsom salt in the bathtub with very warm to hot water, and stayed in the tub for 45 minutes.
Note: If you experience an especially strong Herxheimer effect (body flooded with virus-based toxins), you can always take more Burbur Pinella and Liver Cleanse complex to help accelerate the removal of toxins.
Purpose: To fully eliminate all remaining traces of the RNA S1 and N protein virus remnants remaining in the body. This is done in two stages with Stage 1 being the five regimens above, and this regimen being Stage 2.
From my experience and the latest research, I hypothesize that the S1 (spike) and N (nucleocapsid) proteins remaining in the body (and possibly even other Covid virus remnants) is the root cause of Long Covid, and eliminating these protein remnants completely is the highest priority of healing from Long Covid.
I discovered through personal experience that removing these virus remnants can be very difficult and is a bit like whack-a-mole in that if not all traces are completely eliminated, they seem to replicate and come back.
I found that to ensure complete removal ideally requires three separate stages:
Stage 1 is a combination of the five regimens mentioned above:
The purpose of Stage 1 is:
Stage 2 uses a combination of Platycodon, Artemisinin, Gum Benzoin and Black Walnut Hull, which are very strong medicines but are required to do the final eradication of the spike and nucleocapsid proteins and/or whatever other Covid remnants are causing the body damage and the overreactive immune response. From my experience, Stage 2 is what I believe eradicated all the remaining virus remnants that may have been hidden in my gut microbiome, biofilms, sinuses, lymph nodes, etc.
This combination can sometimes feel a little heavy to the digestive tract and can also cause temporary additional exhaustion, which is one of the reasons Stage 2 is delayed until the body is in better shape to tolerate it.
When to start Stage 2 depends on the severity of your symptoms and whether you have gastrointestinal issues or not. For example, if you have very low symptoms and no gastrointestinal issues, you could probably start Stage 2 right from the beginning (the first week).
I found that starting Stage 2 on week five worked well for me, but I could imagine if someone has symptoms that have not been reduced enough after 4 weeks, they should probably delay starting Stage 2 for another week or two, or until their symptoms have subsided enough that they believe they can tolerate Stage 2.
The Platycodon, Artemisinin, Gum Benzoin and Black Walnut Hull can be powerful drugs that appear to destroy the virus proteins and other possible virus remnants in conjunction with the other antivirals in the protocol.
While there’s no scientific evidence that verifies this yet, I suspect that these compounds may accomplish this by somehow melting the fatty capsid that surrounds and protects the virus remnants, in addition to other antiviral effects..
I found it best to ease into Stage 2.
I recommend taking the Platycodon, Artemisinin, Gum Benzoin and Black Walnut Hull for just six weeks altogether so as not to overwhelm the body. But if the Covid protein viral remnant load is extremely high, it may require extending that for 1 - 2 weeks longer. My rule of thumb was to keep taking these for two weeks after I felt fully recovered to make sure every trace was eradicated.
Over the next several weeks, as the virus traces start to leave the body, the symptoms should continue to be less and less of a problem. The Black Cumin Seed Oil Cistus Incanus, Andrographis, and Quercetin have strong viricidal qualities, and are therefore important partners in eliminating the virus protein traces and should be taken for the full ten weeks. The NAC is also important to keep taking for the full ten weeks to continue lowering inflammation and eliminating oxidizing factors.
The schedule for weaning off these supplements is up to you and is dependent upon how you’re feeling. I’ve shared what worked for me. Depending on age and the severity of your symptoms, you may need to stay on these for a longer duration, or shorter.
Purpose: To recondition your body and brain back to a pre-Covid condition.
After you've eliminated the virus protein remnants and the over-reactive immune response, and your body's injuries are well on their way towards healing, you’re probably still not in the same physical or mental condition you used to be. Basically, you're out of shape. Long Covid may be gone, but your body has not been as active as it was pre-Covid.
Have some patience with yourself. Slowly increase your exercise and rebuild your body's strength. This could take between one and several months depending on how long you’ve been immobile, and your age.
Reconditioning Your Body
Getting your body back in good physical shape is a key part of healing from Long Covid. And if you’ve been bedridden for more than a few days, it’s even more critical to work up your core strength.
Part of my feeling exhausted had to with my body being terribly out of shape. I was never hospitalized or bedridden, but I went from vigorously exercising pre-Covid, with one-to-three-mile walks and strenuous garden work, to (with Long Covid) sometimes not walking for weeks and mainly sitting at home most of the time.
After I started to feel better, I started rebuilding my body’s core by going on very short walks. I walked 100 feet the first few days, then increased it slowly by listening to my body, and eventually, at least a mile a day. If you can work your arms with light weights, that’s even better. Five-to-fifteen-pound weights will do the trick.
In the final weeks, once the virus remnants and over-reactive immune response of Long Covid are cleared out of your system, do a final cleanup and detox (with EDTA), along with a deeper reconditioning of the body and brain (via more exercise), and rebuilding the body’s core energy reserves (using higher doses of Ginseng and Ashwagandha, along with Maitake, Shiitake and Reishi mushrooms).
